Ugh! Aside from taking out the trash, making your bed in the morning was probably one of your most loathed chores growing up. It usually was the only thing in the way of keeping you from going to your friend's house, or watching your favorite weekend morning tv show (Hey Arnold? That’s So Raven? Hannah Montana?). If your parents utilized making your bed as a form of kryptonite in letting you start your day, you probably still make your bed as an adult...most days.

However, it looks like our parents may’ve been on to something with this obnoxious chore. Studies have shown that not only can making your bed lead to a better nights rest, but it can actually make you happier. Gretchen Rubin, writer of the New York Times bestseller The Happiness Project, has found that for most people “outer order contributes to inner calm.” A resolution of this being as simple as making your bed. By starting the day with this somewhat tedious activity, people feel more productive and satisfied throughout the day. And upon coming home to a neat and tidy bed, people feel more relaxed. Making your bedroom a seemingly more peaceful place to come home and unwind in.
So in other words...a happy bed is a made bed, and a well-bred bed is a 41 Winks bed. See what we did there?
Happy Friday!
