Why A Zen Bedtime Routine Is Now More Important Than Ever
When I first spoke to Olivia about the topic of this piece, we both agreed on a very different subject matter. As that was over a week ago, and so much in the world has changed since then, I decided on changing course and instead, writing something that would benefit the masses while we are all social distancing. Here's how to set yourself up with a calming bedtime routine, because we definitely all need it!
Bath Water
When I was pregnant I read something along the lines of, "when it all gets too much, go for a walk or take a bath." I think it's safe to say that step one should be a hot bath, with some essential oils or Epsom salts.
Oily Surface
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize - that's all! If you don't have any face oils handy, coconut oil works wonders on the skin. Massage your face and neck to release any fluids - ahhhhh.
Mask The Issue
Slide into bed, lay on your back, put on a lush 41 Winks sleep mask (like their DO NOT DISTURB sleep mask in black velvet pictured here) and take a few breaths. It is crazy out there, but we are all in this together and the last time I checked, that was a really nice thing.
